Kiwi Moon

Kiwi Moon

We had a great time when we went to see the show, 'Kiwi Moon' at Capital E. This trip provided the motivation for us to retell the story in our own words.

Kiwi Moon

Once there was a kiwi egg. The egg hatched, out came the kiwi. The kiwi found a big kiwi. One day a big dog came the big kiwi fought and the little kiwi sulked and sulked. Then it was alive again. There was a big fire. The little kiwi found a girl. The little kiwi took her home. Right at the end the little kiwi ran to the top of the hill and jumped in to the moon.

Kiwi Moon

Once upon a time there was a little white egg. Inside the egg was a little white kiwi.
After it hatched it found a moon and asked the moon if it was it’s mother. The moon said, “No I am not your mother.” After it found a brown kiwi and asked if it was it’s mother. It said, “Well I did lay an egg.” It lived with the brown kiwi. The brown kiwi showed the white kiwi how to catch grubs. The next day the little kiwi’s mother said, “You can go and catch grubs by yourself.”
There was a little girl who was crying she wanted her mum and dad. The little kiwi took the girl to her house and ran back to the forest. There was a bush fire and the little white kiwi ran to the top of the hill and then he jumped into the moon’s arms.

Kiwi Moon

There was an egg and there was a white kiwi and a brown kiwi and they were hungry and they ate grubs. There was a kakapo and the kakapo was dancing and singing. There was a bush fire and there was a girl crying. The little kiwi took the girl back to her house. The little kiwi jumped into Te Marama’s arms and the white kiwi became Kiwi Moon.

I love all of your wonderful Kiwi moon stories. You are obviously keen writers in Room 7. I love your blog as well. Keep up the great work!
